Do you want to turn back time and reverse the signs of aging?

Updated: Aug 6, 2023

I guess that was a really dumb question.

Of course you do! We all do!

No one likes getting older especially when we are the ones that caused most of our appearance to age faster than it should by coating our skin with baby oil and basking in the Sun for hours to obtain that fantastic tanned glowing skin that makes us look healthier and younger - or so we thought. And it wasn't until we actually got older and noticed the wrinkles and discoloration of our skin and for some of us, even melanoma, that we realized that maybe constantly exposing our skin to the sun without any protection wasn't such a great idea.

As I learned more and more about the amazing largest organ of our bodies known as "skin", I realized that it requires a bit of extra care and attention to keep it supple, smooth, and healthy. I became quite a "Skin Geek" and as I read and studied more I decided that it's about time that I take better care of my integumentary system and see what can be done to bring back some of it's vim and vigor.

There are so many products and procedures on the market that advertise "age defying" properties and promise that you'll notice a difference very quickly if you buy and use the product.

So, in this blog, I will review and solicit opinions on various products that I've tried and talk about some of the design magic that can give us the illusion of a youthful appearance without risking more wrinkling and possibly even skin cancer.

But, no matter what you do, make sure you see your dermatologist often!! I'm not a doctor and anything that I say in this blog is not intended to provide medical advice and I can only comment on my own experiences and the products that I've tried. But, I will make one very important directive and that is that you have to get to know your dermatologist so that they can get to know you and your skin!!!

And, as I always say - USE SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY!
